Brewpub Proposal Postponed By Power Outage At Princeton Planning Board Meeting
The hearing will resume on Aug. 3, according to the Princeton Packet.

PRINCETON, NJ — The hearing on a proposal to move Triumph Brewing Co. into the old post office building in Palmer Square will have to wait until next month.
A power outage that knocked out the air conditioning and audio system in the main meeting room of Witherspoon Hall brought an end to a Planning Board hearing on the topic after just one expert witness testified on Thursday night, July 13, the Princeton Packet reports. The hearing will resume on Thursday night, Aug. 3, 7:30 p.m.
The Princeton Historic Preservation Commission previously approved the application from California-based LCOR Ventures to move the brewery into the old post office building at 20 East Palmer Square, according to Planet Princeton. Triumph Brewery is currently located at 138 Nassau Street.

The old post office was built in 1932. It is listed on the state and national registries of historic places. The post office has already moved from that site to a site on Nassau Street. Plans call for the replacement of the former loading docks in the back of the building with a glass entrance. The old lobby would become a dining room.
Former Congressional candidate and Palmer Square resident Scott Sipprelle is opposing the project, citing concerns over parking, according to the Princeton Packet.
