Coalition for Peace Action Helps to Educate Voters Ahead of June Primary
Voter Guides created for Congressional Districts 2, 7, and 12 show where candidates stand on peace-oriented issues
With the June 2 Election Day for NJ Primaries coming up fast, the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) encourages those who have not yet voted to click to see Peace Voter Guides for three targeted Congressional races: Districts 2, 7, and 12 in NJ.
CFPA, headquartered in Princeton, reaches out to NJ and PA major party congressional candidates in key races during each election cycle to offer Candidate Briefings-and subsequent questionnaires-on issues its delegation has briefed them on: nuclear weapons, war and peace, climate, and gun safety. It's a nonpartisan initiative.*
These Guides were created to enable peace-oriented voters to compare the major party candidates in identified key races, and choose the ones who are shown to be best on peace issues.

A CFPA member who is a voter in District 7 recently sent the message quoted below to say how helpful and important the Peace Voter Guide for that race was for her decision: "I live in the 7th Congressional District (N.J.) I used your Peace Voter Guide to decide among the four Democrats running in the primary. Two of the four never responded to your questionnaire, and another didn't answer a couple of questions."
Those who reside in District 2, 7, or 12, are encouraged to become educated Peace Voters before deciding which candidate to choose by clicking here, and scrolling down to view the Guides.

"CFPA targeted these races because they are viewed to be close enough that if enough peace-oriented voters like us vote, the outcome could be influenced. So I also want to strongly urge you to forward the Guides to as many voters as you know in those congressional districts before Election Day," said The Rev. Robert Moore, Executive Director, Coalition for Peace Action.
