Council Meeting, Road Construction: Princeton This Week

Here's what's happening in Princeton this week:

PRINCETON, NJ — Hello neighbors, welcome to this week's edition of the Monday manual, where we tell you what's happening in town.

From Monday through Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic will be alternated on one lane on Faculty Road between Fitzrandolph Road and Washington Road as stormwater infrastructure and curbing will be installed. There will be no work during the weekend of May 13-14, the Engineering Department said.

The following streets will be closed to all through traffic (Local Traffic Only) for PSE&G gas construction on the following days, the :

  • South Tulane Street, May 8
  • Lytle Street, May 8-9 & May 12
  • Green Street, May 8-10
  • Quarry Street, May 11

On Tuesday, Wiggins Street will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic for PSE&G gas service replacement.

On Thursday, Witherspoon Street between Spring Street and Hulfish Street will be closed to all traffic for PSE&G gas regulator work.

On Friday PSE&G will restore concrete sidewalk on Vandeventer Avenue. Pedestrians will be rerouted to opposite sidewalk.

Witherspoon Street Phase II Neighborhood Pre-construction Meeting

Phase II of the Witherspoon Street Project will be gin soon, and before that the Municipality will be hosting a neighborhood meeting to give residents the opportunity to meet the contractor and to learn about the construction schedule and sequencing for project between Green Street and Leigh Avenue. The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 10, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Witherspoon Hall. Click here for more details.
