Dinky Buses Adjusted Due To Alexander Shutdown
An emergency bridge repair for the Stony Brook Bridge crossing has caused Alexander Road to close for 10 days.
PRINCETON, NJ — Commuters may want to check their bus schedules as NJ Transit's Dinky buses are leaving a bit earlier to accommodate for the emergency closure of Alexander Road bridge in Princeton.
Princeton Dinky Temporary Bus Substitute Service has been adjusted to leave earlier and have not had issues in meeting the connecting trains at Princeton Junction, NJ Transit Spokesman Jim Smith said.

Mercer County Department of Transportation issued an emergency bridge repair for the Stony Brook Bridge crossing Alexander Road in Princeton following a recent inspection on Monday, April 8.
The bridge was found to be in need of repair causing Alexander Road to close for about 10 days to all vehicles for emergency structural repairs, the Mercer County DOT reported.

Viable alternate routes to Route 1 are: Quaker Road and Province Line Load to the south, along with Harrison Street and Washington Road to the North.
