DWI Arrest, Wanted Shoplifter In Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ — A wanted shoplifter and a driver charged with driving while intoxicated were reported in the latest Princeton Police blotter.

On March 7 at 3 p.m.: An unknown man entered a retail store on Nassau Street and subsequently left the store with $1,996 worth of merchandise that he did not pay for. The actor is described as a white man with brown hair, wearing a Shoprite hat, black/white fleece, black pants, and black shoes.

On March 9 at 2:23 a.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Princeton Kingston Road for speeding and failure to keep right, the driver, Sankalp Kumar, 33, of Princeton, was found to have operated his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Kumar was arrested, taken to police headquarters, and charged accordingly. Kumar was later released from police custody.
