Edgehill Street Project in Princeton Begins Monday

The project is scheduled to run through November.

Top Line Construction will begin a project to construct roadway; repair sidewalk and curb; and signage and striping improvements on Edgehill Street between Mercer Street and Stockton Street (Route 206) on Monday, Princeton Police said on Friday.

It is scheduled to last through November.

The contractor will perform sidewalk and curb repair work on Edgehill Street beginning at Stockton Street (Route 206) and work towards Mercer Street. The sidewalk and curb repair work will last approximately two weeks.

Edgehill Street will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays. On-street parking may also be suspended during work hours to permit safe movement of construction equipment and residential traffic.

The road work closure will be in effect weekdays only. In the event of inclement weather, work will proceed the following business day.

Residents are advised to use caution when driving within the road closure area and allow additional time for travel.

There may be time when residents don’t have access to their driveways, but 24-hour notice will be given should this be the case.

During construction, Edgehill Street through traffic will be detoured onto Library Place.

Provisions will be made for emergency services vehicles and for continued services such as brush and leaf collection, mail delivery, garbage and recycling pick-up. The road will be reopened to full two-way traffic and parking at the end of each work day.
