Emergency Bridge Repair To Close Rt. 206 In Princeton

The project involves the complete replacement of the existing culvert (bridge) and roadway repairs associated with this work.

PRINCETON, NJ — Emergency bridge repair construction work will begin on Route 206 in Princeton, police reported.

Work will be conducted on an approximately 500-foot long stretch between Hillside Avenue and Arreton Road on Route 206.

"This is an emergency bridge repair contract with an extremely short and aggressive schedule," Princeton Police announced.

The project involves the complete replacement of the existing culvert (bridge) and roadway repairs associated with this work.

Between now and the first week of November, minor construction activities will be conducted for preliminary work. This will not interfere with the Princeton Half Marathon on Nov. 4, police said.

Route 206 will then be closed on or about Nov. 8 for about one week to perform the roadway/bridge work.

A local car detour and a separate truck detour has been established for the duration of the road closure. Access will be maintained for all local residents and businesses during the road closure.
