Emergency Bridge Repair On Rt. 206 Begins Friday In Princeton

The complete closure is necessary for emergency replacement of a small bridge between Hillside Ave. and Arreton Road on Route 206.

PRINCETON, NJ — The pre-planned closure of Route 206 which was originally scheduled for earlier this month will be implemented Friday, Princeton Police report.

The complete closure is necessary for emergency replacement of a small bridge on an approximately 500-foot long stretch between Hillside Avenue and Arreton Road on Route 206. Making the road completely impassable to all through traffic.

Trucks should use the regional detour (Route 518 to Route 31).

"This is an emergency bridge repair contract with an extremely short and aggressive schedule," Princeton Police announced previously.

The project involves the complete replacement of the existing culvert (bridge) and roadway repairs associated with this work.
