Foul Play Not Suspected In Death Of Princeton University Sophomore

Wonshik Shin, 19, was found dead in his campus residence on Sunday.

Princeton, NJ -- Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Princeton University sophomore, according to a post on the university’s website over the weekend.

Wonshik Shin, 19, of Seoul, South Korea, was found dead in his campus residence on Sunday. The cause of death has not yet been determined.

Shin was a member of the Korean American Student Association, the V Tones East Asian music group and the Princeton University Rock Ensemble, according to the university.

The university extended its condolences to Shin’s family, and is offering counseling on campus to students who need it, through the Counseling and Psychological Services on the third floor of McCosh Health Center.

Students can also call 609-258-3285 to reach a counselor. After hours and on weekends during the holiday break, students with a need for counseling should contact the Department of Public Safety at 609-258-1000.
