Fraud Alert: Mercer County Clerk's Email Hacked
Fake invoices requesting payment are being reportedly sent to the clerk's email contacts from both of her email addresses.

PRINCETON, NJ — Mercer County is warning locals of a fraud after both the public and personal email accounts of Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello were recently fraudulently imitated.
Fake invoices requesting payment are being reportedly sent to the clerk’s email contacts from both of her email addresses.
"Please do not send money or give personal bank information in response to these solicitations," the county stated.
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit is currently reviewing the matter.
Anyone who believes they have received a fraudulent invoice should contact the Cyber Crimes Unit at 609-989-6351. For questions about an invoice that may be legitimate, contact the Office of the Mercer County Clerk to verify at 609-989-6465.
