Icy Roads Cause 33 Crashes, 2 Injuries In South Brunswick
The police department handled 33 reports of crashes and many additional vehicle assists on Wednesday morning.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Icy road conditions caused multiple crashes in South Brunswick early on Wednesday morning, South Brunswick Police said.
Since 6:08 a.m, the police department handled 33 reports of crashes and many additional vehicle assists. A total of 50 vehicles were involved in crashes and motorists' assists, police said. Twelve roads had to be shut down and two people were injured in the crashes.
No other information was available on the injuries.

South Brunswick Township Municipal Building had a delayed opening at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday due to the weather conditions.
Speed limits on the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway were reduced to 45 mph due to slippery conditions as crews salted the roads, according to 511nj.org.
