Janet Dacal, Princeton Symphony Orchestra To Perform Holiday Concert

They will be joined by the Princeton High School choir. The Holiday POPS! concert will be held on Dec. 17.

PRINCETON, NJ – Broadway star Janet Dacal will be performing with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra for their Holiday PPOPS! concert on Dec. 17.

While Dacal performs festive songs, the Princeton High School Choir will join in for traditional carols.

Orchestral pieces include Nigel Hess’ “A Christmas Overture,” music from Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel,” and Leroy Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival and Sleigh Ride.”

Music Director Rossen Milanov will conduct the performances of the Holiday POPS! Concert.

The concert will be held at the Richardson Auditorium at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

“It’s such a wonderful concert, with everyone from the youngest audience member to the most seasoned musician eager for a joyous musical experience,” Executive Director Marc Uys said. "This is the perfect way to introduce the whole family to one of the highlights of all that is on offer in Princeton. We see families return year after year, keeping Holiday POPS! a part of their yuletide traditions.”

Tickets for Holiday POPS! Concert range from $20-$80; youths 5-17 receive a 50 percent discount with an adult purchase.
