Man Brandishes Knife At Police, Charged With Terroristic Threats In Mercer Co.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — A Trenton man was charged after police say he pulled out a knife outside of Wendy's on Route 130 North when he saw police in East Windsor.

On April 3 at 11:11 a.m., East Windsor Police were called to the Colonade Motel for a disturbance.

Police saw a man - later identified as Daquan J. Patton, 25, of Trenton - walking by Wendy's at 485 Route 130 North.

Patton noticed the officer and brandished a knife, said police.

Additional officers came and told Patton to drop the knife, however, he refused to comply, said police.

After a brief period, the officers were able to negotiate with Patton who discarded the knife in a nearby trash can.

Patton allegedly remained agitated and refused to comply with the arrest process. Ultimately, the officers arrested Patton and took him to police headquarters.

He was processed and charged with resisting arrest, terroristic threats, weapons possession, assault on law enforcement, obstructing, possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia and then later taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center.
