PRINCETON, NJ — Authorities have questioned a man wanted for allegedly trying to lure two 16-year-old sisters into his truck in Princeton and found there was no intent to harm the kids last week, police say.
"As a result of interviewing the person of interest and reviewing the circumstances of the incidents it was determined that there was no intent to lure or harm the children involved," Princeton Police Chief Nicholas Sutter said Wednesday following a joint investigation with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
The two luring incidents that happened on Sept. 24 and Sept. 27 in the area of the 300 block of Witherspoon Street were reported by the mother of the two teen girls over the weekend, police said. (See Related: Attempted Luring Of 16-Year-Old Princeton Sisters Reported)

"I commend the children for walking away from the situations and for reporting the incidents to their mother, who notified our department. The safety of our children and the community will remain our paramount concern," Sutter said.
