Man Shot By Police In Mercer Charged With Assault, Obstruction
Jajuan Henderson is in stable condition. All officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave, authorities said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A man who was injured after being shot by police in Trenton Saturday, has been charged with assault, resisting arrest, and obstruction, County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
Jajuan Henderson, 29, of Burlington, is charged with four counts of aggravated assault and one count each of resisting arrest and obstruction, Onofri said. He is in stable condition.
Around 12:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, officers from Trenton Police Street Crimes Unit were involved in a Police shooting resulting from an encounter with Henderson, Onofri said. What caused the incident remains unclear.

Henderson was initially treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton, and has since been transferred to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, where he remains in stable condition, Onofri said.
No officers injuries were reported.

All four officers have been placed on administrative leave, and the scene was processed on Saturday by the New Jersey State Police, both of which are standard protocols for incidents of this nature.
The Mercer County Homicide Task Force continues to investigate the shooting, also a standard protocol. The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office has been notified, as well. Anyone with information is asked to call (609) 989-6406. Information can also be emailed to mchtftips@mercercounty.org.
