On Dec. 2 at about 2:07 a.m. Lamar was driving southbound at 1817 Pennington Road in Ewing Township in a black 2018 Kia Optima when he tried to pass other vehicles ahead of him and crossed over the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming vehicle, according to the police report.
That vehicle was a 2007 Dodge Charger that was traveling northbound driven by Clark local and designated driver Sot, 20, a math major from TCNJ. There were a total of two people in the Kia and six people in the Dodge.
At Lamar's hearing on Tuesday, the MCPO argued that his blood alcohol content was almost three times the legal limit when he crashed into the car full of students, according to nj.com. (See Related: NJ Driver's Blood Alcohol Was 3X The Limit In Fatal Crash: Report)
