NJ Teen Killed In Rollover Crash, State Police Say

The crash occurred Saturday morning when the teen lost control of their vehicle and veered off I-95 in Philadelphia, police said.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 19-year-old from New Jersey has died following a single-vehicle crash in Philadelphia on Saturday morning, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Around 11: 30 a.m. on Saturday, Siena Marie Brachelli was driving an SUV on I-95 North near Academy Road when she lost control of her vehicle and went from the left lane onto the left shoulder before striking a metal guard rail, police said.

The SUV then overturned into the median and came to a stop lying on its roof, according to authorities.

Pennsylvania State Police, the Philadelphia Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene, where Brachelli, of Chesterfield, was pronounced deceased, police said.

Following the crash, the Saint Raphael School in New Jersey posted a tribute to Brachelli, who was part of their Class of 2020.

According to the post, the community gathered as a school and parish family at Mass on Sunday to “pray for the repose of Siena’s soul and for peace and strength for the Brachelli family."

“The Saint Raphael School family is heartbroken by the loss of our beloved alumna, Siena Brachelli, Class of 2020,” the school said in their online statement. “There are no words that can fully express the sorrow we feel as a community. In our grief, we turn to our faith and to one another."

“Our hearts remain heavy, yet we trust that Siena is held in God’s loving embrace,” the statement continues. “Please join us as we continue to surround Siena and all who love her with prayer.”
