Meanwhile, South Brunswick Public Schools decided to opt for a 'hybrid snow day' on Thursday. Students were asked to log in if they need help with school work and for attendance. But Superintendent Scott Feder said he expects students to enjoy the snow.
"Right now there are jealous kids all around the country living in the South, that will never have this opportunity. So live it up, and enjoy your first real snowfall in two years," he said in a message to the community. Feder said the district was being flexible with schedules as students deserve this "mental health break, brought to you by good ole' Mother Nature."
In neighboring Princeton, the public school district cancelled virtual learning for Thursday, opting for a 'snow day', as did Lawrence Township Public Schools and East Windsor Regional School District.
