Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit By Car In Princeton Wednesday
Police are investigating an accident in which a resident was injured while trying to cross Rosedale Road.
PRINCETON NJ – The Princeton Police Department is investigating a crash in which an 82-year-old pedestrian was injured Wednesday morning.
At 8:03 a.m. on Wednesday, driver Anju Rai, 54, was traveling east on Rosedale Road in a Lexus ES 350. The victim, Pinghua Xu, activated the pedestrian crossing signal located at the intersection of Rosedale Road and General Johnson Drive at the entrance to Johnson Park School, and attempted to cross Rosedale Road, police said.
When Xu was in the eastbound lane, he was struck by the Lexus ES 350, police said.

Xu was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center due to the injuries sustained while Rai did not report any injuries, police said.
The Police Department is requesting anybody who witnessed the crash to contact Det. Travis Allie at 609-921-2100 ext. 2123 or D/Sgt. Gering at X 1840.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
