Princeton Is ‘Changing The Landscape’ For A Healthy Environment

PRINCETON, NJ —In March, the Princeton school district and municipality received a grant to develop plans to transition away from fossil fuel-powered landscaping equipment.

So how has the township fared since then? Sustainable Princeton is hosting a community discussion on Wednesday to answer this question and more.

Titled ‘Changing the Landscape: Healthy Yards = Healthy People,’ the discussion will focus on how the community and partners are working together to transition to sustainable landscaping.

It will also focus on prioritizing race equity, building partnerships, protecting the environment and health of workers.

The virtual event is free and open to the public. Attendees can also put forward their questions to the panelists. Questions can be sent in advance to info@sustainableprinceton.org.

Panelists will include a Princeton Council member, a representative of Unidad Latina en Acción NJ, Sustainable Princeton, and a local landscaping company owner.
