Princeton Man Sentenced for LSD Possession, Intent to Distribute

A former Princeton University student has been sentenced to five years in state prison after pleading guilty to a second degree charge possession of LSD with the intent to distribute, the Princeton Packet reports.

Julian Edgren, 21, of Princeton, previously pleaded guilty to an accusation pre-indictment.

He is currently free on $25,000 bail and is set to surrender to authorities in November, after he deals with a medical issue, according to the report.

Edgren was a student at Princeton University when he was charged with multiple counts of narcotics possession totaling $2,875 after he retrieved an oversea package containing ecstasy.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted a package from overseas containing approximately seven grams of ecstasy addressed to Edgren at Princeton University in the middle of December.

He was charged on Jan. 6.
