
Princeton, NJ -- Family and friends in Princeton are mourning the loss of a high school freshman who died earlier this week.
The student passed sometime Wednesday in an apparent suicide, Planet Princeton reports.
The school district said it would provide guidance counselors and other trained professionals for students and adults mourning the loss in the high school and across the district in a statement posted on the district website.

“All of us in the Princeton Public Schools were deeply saddened to learn this morning of the passing of one of our freshman at Princeton High School. Our thoughts are with the student's family and friends and with everyone affected by this tragic loss,” the district said. “The entire District mourns this loss, and we recognize that many of our students may be affected by it.”
The district also provided online resources to help parents talk to their children about the death of a loved one, and told parents to contact the school if they felt their children needed additional support. For those links, visit princeton.edu.
