PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Police Department began its trial phase of wearing body cameras on some uniformed members of the patrol division.

The body worn camera trial phase began Tuesday. Once the trial is over, the department said it anticipates all of its uniformed members will have body worn cameras while on duty.

"Using a body worn camera will further the police department’s commitment to being transparent with the community as they will allow the officers to accurately document their interactions with the public," Princeton Police Captain Christopher Morgan.
