The Princeton, NJ Police Department is accepting applications for entry-level officers, with salaries starting at $73,294.
PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Police Department is accepting applications for entry-level police officers, the department said. They are offering a starting salary of $73,294 and the opportunity to join one of New Jersey's accredited law enforcement agencies.
Candidates with prior law enforcement experience may be placed at up to Step 4 on the department's salary scale, officials said.
The department, accredited by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, offers officers access to specialized units, extra duty assignments, and career development and training programs.
New hires will be equipped with updated uniforms, modern patrol vehicles and current law enforcement equipment.

To be eligible, applicants must be between 21 and 35 years old, a U.S. citizen and a New Jersey resident at the time of appointment. Candidates must also hold a valid New Jersey driver's license and meet at least one of the following educational or service requirements: an associate's degree, 60 college credits or four years of active military service.
Applications are available online at policeapp.com. The department did not specify a deadline for submissions.
