Princeton To Seek $2.4 Million In Federal Funds For Nassau Street Construction

The town will apply for the money next month, according to the Princeton Packet.

Princeton, NJ -- The Town of Princeton will apply next month for a $2.4 million federal grant to change the look of Nassau Street and to make it safer, the Princeton Packet reports.

The proposed project includes replacing the stretch of sidewalk between Route 206 and Moore Street on the town side of the street, according to the report. The town could also buy new paper boxes, trees, bike racks, trash cans and improvements at certain intersections.

Town officials aren’t sure about when they would learn the fate of their application.
