Quaker Road Remains Closed For Flooding In Princeton: Police

PRINCETON, NJ — Quaker Road remains closed Thursday morning after heavy rain hit the region Wednesday night, according to the Princeton Police Department. It was unknown how long the road would remain closed as of 10:17 a.m.

Mercer County was one of three counties in New Jersey that was put under a Tornado Warning on Wednesday evening, and was under a Tornado Watch for much of Wednesday.

In addition to the Quaker Road closing, the following road work is taking place throughout town on Thursday, May 30:

  • Snowden Lane is closed to all traffic between Franklin Avenue and Hamilton between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for tree removal;
  • Murray Place is closed to through traffic from Nassau Street to Prospect Avenue from 7 a.m. until about 3 p.m.; and
  • Patton Avenue is closed to through traffic from Cedar Lane to Harrison Street from 7 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m.
