MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A dump truck crash on Route 1 West Windsor has prompted the closure of the road. The crash was reported around 11:20 a.m. in the Washington Road area. Currently, both sides of Route 1 are closed as firefighters, police and first responders are on the site, West Windsor police said. No other information is known about the crash. Authorities have advised commuters to use an alternate route. (This story will be updated when more information comes in)

Escape the summer heat and step into the shady woods of Marquand Park for “Made in the Shade,” a fun-filled morning of nature-themed activities for children and families. Tucked under the canopy of one of Princeton’s most treasured parks, “Made in the Shade” invites children to experience the magic of trees and forest life through hands-on games, crafts, and creative play. Activities include Tree Bingo, storytime, play dough leaf prints and more.
Kids will receive a free coloring book that celebrates the diversity of trees in Marquand Park, as well as light snacks to enjoy in the shade. Whether they’re matching leaves in Bingo or listening to forest stories under the branches, children will leave with a deeper appreciation of the park’s living collection.
Come celebrate summer under the trees! This event is free and open to the public. Activities are best suited for children ages 3–10, but all are welcome. Marquand Park is located at 48 Lovers Lane, Princeton, NJ.
