Princeton Man Injured in School Bus Accident

Charles Chernosky suffered a head injury after hitting a bus that was transporting 17 Pre-K students Tuesday afternoon.

A Princeton man suffered a head injury after the 2002 Jeep Liberty he was driving hit a Princeton Regional school bus head-on on Stockton Street at Lover’s Lane Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Charles Chernosky, 77, was transported to the University Medical Center at Plainsboro by Princeton First Aid and Rescue.

No other injuries were reported.

The bus was transporting 17 Pre-K students between 4 and 5 years old. It was being driven by Cynthia Clausen, 59, of Princeton.

The bus was stopped facing south on Stockton St. waiting to turn left onto Lovers Lane, when the Jeep Liberty traveled north and crossed over the center lines and hit the bus’s left front end with its front bumper.

The Jeep Liberty also sideswiped a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country being driven by 60-year-old Ulises Chacon, of Trenton.

The school bus sustained extensive front end damage and was towed from the scene by Stewart’s Towing.

The Jeep Liberty sustained extensive front end damage and was towed from the scene by Boro Collision Towing.

The Chrysler Town and Country sustained minor scrapes along the left side and was driven from the scene.
