Greater Mercer TMA’s (GMTMA) seventh annual Safe Routes to School Bookmark Design contest is now underway. Mercer County students in third through fifth grade are asked to create a bookmark for the contest with the theme “If I could walk/bike anywhere in the world, it would be…”
Throughout the year GMTMA works with schools to encourage students to walk and bike to school where it is safe to do so and help communities identify solutions to improve the areas where it is not safe. “Using this bookmark contest, we hope to get students thinking about walking and biking as a fun and healthy choice for themselves, their community and the world “said GMTMA Executive Director Cheryl Kastrenakes.
Winners will receive a $50 gift card alongside bookmark printing! For more information about the contest and the Safe Routes to School Program go to gmtma.org.
