Taco Truck Restaurant Closings Include Princeton Location
The Taco Truck announced the closing of the Princeton, Morristown and King of Prussia locations on Monday.

PRINCETON, NJ — A decade-old institution is closing its doors. The Taco Truck in Princeton, located at 301 North Harrison Street, is one of three locations that closed effective Monday, May 1, according to a post on the company’s Facebook page. Its locations in King of Prussia and Morristown were also closed as of Monday, with the Hoboken location staying open through Sunday, May 7.
“It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that the Taco Truck will be closing its doors,” the Facebook post reads. “For the last decade, it has been our pleasure to serve you and be an integral part of your community -- not just as your taco crew, but as your friends and neighbors. For that we will always be grateful.”
A telephone call to the Princeton location Monday night was answered by an answering machine during restaurant hours. The message doesn’t mention that the store is closed permanently, but it is listed as being closed online.

The first truck launched in New Jersey in 2009, according to The Taco Truck’s website. Since then, it has opened stores, carts, kiosks and trucks in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. Its recipe for success was built on what the founders called their “special sauce” — authenticity, hospitality, sustainability, and community.
“When we launched The Taco Truck, our mission was to provide our guests with an authentic Mexican street food experience, and we’ve been lucky to do so,” the owners continued in the Facebook post.”You all have made this chapter unforgettable. We thank you for the memories, laughs and millions of tacos served, and are forever in your gratitude.”
