Theft, Fraud, Criminal Mischief Reported In Princeton
A Chesterfield man was charged after he was seen driving through the exit gate of the Chambers Street Garage, police report.
PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Police reported theft, fraud and criminal mischief recently in the town, according to the police blotter.
Princeton Police blotter:
On Feb. 21 at 9:17 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Hulfish Street after a random license plate inquiry, the registered owner, Leonard Maxwell III, 31, of Piscataway was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Lawrence Township in the amount of $139. Maxwell was placed under arrest and later released on his own recognizance with a new court date.

On Feb. 22 at 7:28 a.m.: Kent Snyder, 24, of Chesterfield was placed under arrest at police headquarters for criminal mischief and theft of services. Snyder was observed driving through the exit gate of the Chambers Street Garage at 1:38 a.m. earlier that day, causing damage to same. Snyder was later released on his own recognizance with summonses and a pending court date.
On Feb. 22 at 1:58 p.m.: The complainant reported that at 10:45 a.m. that day, someone unlawfully entered their unsecured locker at the Princeton YMCA and stole three of their credit cards. Someone then made purchases totaling $3,534.43 before other attempts at use began declining.

On Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.: The complainant reported that their personal information had been used fraudulently during the commission of a crime in Lowndes County, Georgia earlier that day. The victim suffered no monetary loss.
On Feb. 24 at 10:07 a.m.: The complainant reported that their personal information had been used to fraudulently open a Charles Schwab bank account and visa credit card. An unknown actor then attempted to wire $25,000 from the victim’s bank account but was unsuccessful. The victim suffered no monetary loss.
