This Week's Witherspoon Street Construction Update In Princeton
Alternating traffic, and construction work - here's what to expect in Princeton this week:
PRINCETON, NJ - On Monday, there will be no construction work on Witherspoon Street due to Memorial Day observance.
On Tuesday Earle Asphalt will begin sanitary sewer utility mark outs and saw cutting the roadway on Witherspoon Street.
Beginning Wednesday, sanitary sewer utility installation will occur. Construction work will start at the intersection of Witherspoon Street and Hulfish Street and continue towards Paul Robeson Place.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and follow detour signs.
Constructions hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic and Parking
- There will be an alternating traffic pattern on Witherspoon Street with the use of flaggers Tuesday-Friday.
- The intersection of Hulfish Street and Witherspoon Street will be closed Wednesday for sewer installation and Friday for backfill and paving.
- Access for local traffic to Palmer Square, Hulfish Parking Garage, and the Griggs Corner Lot will remain open via Hulfish Street from Palmer Square East or Chambers Street.
