Woman Found Dead In Possible Homicide In Hamilton Township ID'd

The woman was found dead on Sunday. The prosecutor's office said her death may not be a result of the fire.

A woman who was found dead in a possible homicide at a New Jersey apartment complex has been identified.

Caitlin Clark, 33, was found dead after a fire at a Hamilton apartment complex Sunday, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office. She was a resident of the complex.

Clark was pulled from the fire on Reeves Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday, according to the prosecutor's office. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services noted that the victim’s injuries may not have been a result of the fire. The exact cause and manner of her death are pending an autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The township's police and fire departments responded to the one-alarm fire, and firefighters pulled the woman from the blaze. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Arson Unit responded to investigate the scene.
