Mahwah Man Charged in Ramsey Pedestrian Hit-And-Run
Thomas Moylan's arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

A 27-year-old Mahwah man has been arrested in connection with a pedestrian hit-and-run incident in Ramsey, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Thomas Moylan’s arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Fatal Accident Investigation Unit.

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY and later transferred to Westchester Medical Center. The victim, a 56-year-old male from Kew Gardens, NY, suffered a skull fracture, brain bleed and fractured pelvis.
An electronic sign board was placed in the area of the collision, seeking information. The accident happened at the intersection of Franklin Turnpike and Spring Street in Ramsey.

At approximately 6:24 p.m., on August 16, a resident of the Paddington Square condominium complex in Mahwah noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the pool house parking lot of the complex. The resident was aware of the pending investigation and examined the front of the vehicle.
She observed a broken grille and several dents in the front of the vehicle. At that time, she notified the Mahwah and Ramsey Police Departments. The damage is consistent with a pedestrian impact, and matches broken pieces of the vehicle left at the scene. The registered owner of the vehicle, Moylan, Jr., was brought to the Ramsey PD and charged with:

2C:40-22b - 4th Degree Involved in a MVA Resulting in SBI While Suspended
39:4-129 Leaving the Scene
39:3-40 Suspended Driver’s License
And numerous other MV summonses for expired Driver’s License, expired registration, and equipment violations.
The vehicle involved was a 1997 Lincoln Town Car, NJ-H66BSC.
Bail was placed at $25,000 with 10% by Judge Joseph Rotolo, Ramsey MCJOB.
