Ramsey Team Takes On TV Game Show
The team will advance to Round Two of MSG Varsity's 'The Challenge,' next week

The teamwork and practice a team of five Ramsey High School students put in to prepare for The Challenge, a TV game show for teenage students that airs on MSG Varsity, has paid off.
In December, the team competed in the show’s first round of play, and beat out Hawthorne High School. Now residents in Ramsey should set their DVRs once again to watch the team take on Round Two in an episode set to air next week.
According to a release from MSG Varsity, the team from Ramsey High School will take on Eastern Christian High School next Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.

The show’s current elimination rounds will continue until Regional Champions are crowned. Each champ picks up $2,500 for the team’s school. The show’s ultimate winner takes home $10K in prizes and $500 for each participant.
The Challenge is hosted by American Idol semifinalist Jared Cotter, who tests teams on their history, arts and literature, current events, math, and science knowledge in front of a live studio audience.
When the Ramsey students started competing on the show late last year, they told Patch they were excited for the opportunities to test their trivia knowledge, and be on TV.
According to a release from the game show, 192 schools competed this season.
