MORRIS COUNTY— Monday evening’s storm left parts of Morris County licking its wounds, leaving thousands without power, fallen trees, and downed wires. Some of the storm damage forced businesses and other establishments to close on Tuesday, including a middle school in Mendham Township.
Some parts of the state saw up to 80 mph winds, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Morris County gusts didn’t blow quite that hard, but enough to leave some windows shaking.
