Driver Killed In Tinton Falls After Vehicle Runs Off Parkway
One man was killed in a single-vehicle collision early Friday morning, according to state police.
TINTON FALLS, NJ – A driver was killed early Friday morning after his vehicle ran off the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls, according to authorities.
The single-car crash occurred at 4:11 a.m. on the Garden State Parkway heading southbound in Tinton Falls at milepost 105.6, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Sgt. Lawrence Peele.
The driver, Victor Munoz of Tinton Falls, was traveling in an express lane when his vehicle, a Buick Roadmaster, ran off the left side of the parkway and struck several trees, according to Peele. The 70-year-old man was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune City where he later was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

Northbound lanes on the parkway were closed for about an hour and a half, Peele confirmed. No other injuries or fatalities were reported.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by New Jersey State Police.
