SHREWSBURY, NJ — Here are some photos from the grand opening of the new Shrewsbury QuickChek and gas station, which just opened Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 581 Shrewsbury Avenue in Shrewsbury.

That location was formerly a vacant office building; Verizon used to have an office there.

The new store will be open 24 hours a day and will have WiFi and indoor and outdoor seating.

New Jersey State Senator Vin Gopal, Shrewsbury Mayor Erik Anderson, Monmouth County Freeholder Sue Kiley and QuickChek CEO Dean Durling were there Tuesday for the grand opening.

The new Shrewsbury store creates 45 new local jobs, including eight management positions. Each new QuickChek location typically generates approximately $1 million in tax revenues, said the company.

QuickChek will donate 25 cents for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold in the store from September 24-October 23 to the Shrewsbury Youth Athletic Association.

The store will also have no-fee ATMs, indoor seating for 10 people and outdoor seating for eight; eight gas pumps/16 fueling positions and 53 parking spaces.

Grand opening promotions include free QuickChek hot or iced coffee offered to all patrons from September 24-October 6, plus all 6-inch QuickChek subs are just $3 and all 12-inch QuickChek subs are just $6 from September 24-October 6. All QuickChek smoothies and Espresso bar drinks are $2 and empanadas are 2 for $3 from September 24-October 6.
