Update: Swimmer Who Died At Sandy Hook Was A Red Bank Resident
A fisherman found the man's body at Sandy Hook, Monmouth County authorities confirmed Friday morning.

The missing swimmer, whose body was found Friday, has been identified as a Red Bank resident, according to a published report.
His body was found on a Sandy Hook beach by a fisherman, authorities said.
The man was identified by federal park officials as Andros Vega-Pena, NJ.com reported.

The 25-year-old went missing on Wednesday night at Beach B at Sandy Hook, according to the Asbury Park Press.
A spokeswoman for Gateway National Park told the Associated Press that the man was last seen in distress around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and the search for him began about a half hour later. No lifeguards were on duty at the time.

Crews searched the water Wednesday night and again for much of the day Thursday. Around 6:30 a.m. Friday, the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the swimmer had been found by a fisherman.
The Sheriff’s Office also said said it wanted to thank the agencies that helped in the search for the man.
