Arrest Made In Home Break-In, Theft Of BMW In Glen Rock: Police
A dog woke the residents of a home in Glen Rock while four burglars were inside, police said. Now a suspect is in custody.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — A Newark man was charged on Saturday in connection with a home break-in and car theft in Glen Rock in January.
As previously reported by Patch, four men entered an unlocked BMW early on the morning of Jan. 19 but couldn't start it. So they broke into the home and swiped the car fob, police said.
Residents were awakened by their dog and called police, but the burglars got away.

On Wednesday, Police Chief Michael Trover said that after a five-month investigation, Carlos L. Espinal, 21, of Newark was charged with one count of residential burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, and theft of movable property in connection with the incident.
Espinal was already in jail when he was charged, police said.

The investigation into the identities of the other suspects continues, Trover said.
The car has not been found.
