Bernadette Coghlan-Walsh: 3,611

Richard Brooks: 1,656

Ramon Hache: 3,867

Nearly 5,700 residents out of 16,740, voted, a 34 percent turnout, much higher than the 20 percent that goes to the polls in municipal elections.

Voight, Hache, and Coghlan-Walsh received endorsements from three community organizations: Friends of Schedler, Concerned Residents of Ridgewood, and Citizens for a Better Ridgewood.

The six candidates ran independently, since Ridgewood has a non-partisan council, but formed two groups that offered different versions of what they would have liked the village’s future to be. The council nominates and appoints the mayor.

Voight, Hache, and Coghlan-Walsh’s four-year terms will begin July 1.
