More Than 20 Ridgewood Street Signs Returned Since Amnesty Offer Announced
Signs may be dropped off without consequence until Sept. 15.

More than 20 street signs have been returned since Ridgewood police announced that anyone who returned stolen street signs would be granted amnesty.
Officials announced this month that more than three dozen signs were reported stolen recently.
Signs can be dropped off at the Ridgewood Police Department at 131 North Maple Ave. until Sept. 15 without consequence, authorities announced.

After that date, anyone found in possession of a sign ”will be charged with theft and prosecuted,” police said in a post on the department’s Facebook page.
