• Ridgewood extends schools chief's contract amid calls for his firing (northjersey.com) — Ridgewood's Board of Education has unanimously approved a five-year, $2.1 million contract extension for Schools Superintendent Mark Schwarz, keeping him in place through June 2031 despite a petition calling for his removal. Board members cited his accomplishments and student-focused changes, while also authorizing up to $196,760 to remediate the high school's storm-damaged athletic fields.
