RHS Class of '91 Plans 20-Year Reunion

To be held at the Women's Club, Nov. 5

The Ridgewood High School Class of 1991 will hold its 20-year reunion on November 5. The celebration will feature a unique networking table for graduates who would like to share business cards and talk about job opportunities.

“What we’re trying to do is connect people, because of the economy,” said Kelly Schwietering, Secretary of the Class of ’91 and member of the planning committee. “A lot of people in our grade were part of the entrepreneur-movement and dot-com-ers.”

The class of ’91 saw the rise of men’s lacrosse in Ridgewood, when soccer and football were the more popular sports. Schwietering recalled the day the Gulf War ended on February 28, 1991, when the majority of her class cut school to attend a ticker-tape parade in New York City.

The reunion will be held at the Women’s Club, and will include a cocktail hour and cold hors d'oeuvres. There will also be a memorial held for classmates who have perished, including a 16-year old peer who drowned in Graydon during the class’ high school years.

Tickets are $80 before September 15, and go up to $90 after that date. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and are available on the reunion website.
