For Ridgewood History Lesson, Join The Mahwah Museum Monday

Dive deep into the history of Ridgewood with Bergen County historians Peggy Norris and Joe Suplicki during a webinar with the Mahwah Museum.

MAHWAH, NJ — Next week, the Mahwah Museum will play hosts to two Bergen County historians with special knowledge about another nearby community: Ridgewood.

Historians Peggy Norris and Joe Suplicki will present a webinar on Monday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. about the growth and transformation of the Village of Ridgewood during the years of 1894-1905.

Using documents, maps and historic panoramic photos, they will bring to light the many changes that occurred during the critical years at the turn of the century.

The program is free but donations will be "gladly accepted."

Pre-registration is required, and can be done online by visiting www.mahwahmuseum.org.

The online program is hosted by the Mahwah Museum, which is located at 201 Franklin Turnpike.

The Museum is open to the public Saturdays from 1-4 pm. Museum admission is free to members and children, $5 for non-members.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the museum will follow state guidelines "which call for face masks, social distancing, temperature checks, one-way traffic, and reduced capacity," according to the museum.
