Search And Rescue Team Will Look For Talent Agent Mark Schlegel This Week

Schlegel was last seen leaving his Oradell home Aug. 13. Nearly $40,000 has been donated to help find him.

ORADELL, NJ — Search teams will look in and around the borough Thursday, Friday and through the weekend for Mark Schlegel.

The New Jersey Search and Rescue Group will look for Schlegel at various predetermined locations and search dogs will be used, police said, noting that residents should not be alarmed.

Volunteers are not needed to assist with the search, police said.

Schlegel was last seen leaving his home Aug. 13 at 3:30 p.m. Oradell Police have searched the woods and near Schlegel's home for him since he was reported missing. He left his house with a gift bag, but without his wallet, keys and phone, and was heading for a street just three blocks away, police said.

Schlegel is a talent agent and works in New York City. Nearly $40,000 has been donated online since his co-workers started the campaign Tuesday. The money will be used to help fund search efforts and as a possible reward.

Schlegel does not have any known physical or mental health issues. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes.
