• Rumson Seeks Bids For New 'Jaws Of Life'-Type Rescue Tools (patch.com) — Rumson is inviting vendors to bid on new battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools, often known as Jaws of Life, to help first responders reach people trapped in crashed vehicles. Sealed bids, including required financial guarantees, are due before a public opening at Borough Hall on Thursday, Sept. 10, with bid specifications available electronically or as paid hard copies from the clerk's office.
   

• Rumson-Fair Haven Students Pencil In A Return To Class (patch.com) — Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School students are heading back to class Wednesday, with all eight periods meeting so everyone can connect with each teacher before the regular rotating schedule starts.
