• Rumson Seeks Bids For New 'Jaws Of Life'-Type Rescue Tools (patch.com) — Rumson is inviting vendors to bid on new battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools, often known as Jaws of Life, to help first responders reach people trapped in crashed vehicles. Sealed bids, including required financial guarantees, are due before a public opening at Borough Hall on Thursday, Sept. 10, with bid specifications available electronically or as paid hard copies from the clerk's office. 
• Rumson-Fair Haven Students Pencil In A Return To Class (patch.com) — Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School students are heading back to class Wednesday, with all eight periods meeting so everyone can connect with each teacher before the regular rotating schedule starts. Families must complete Genesis portal forms to access schedules, while the district highlights key dates like Labor Day closure, a senior parent session, and Back to School Night for Rumson-area families.
