A Better Way To Eat Nuts
Take it easy on your digestive system and try to eat your nuts (as well as all foods) slowly, as you would in nature for more nutritional benefits.

Most of us are aware of the benefits of eating natural foods. Nuts are great natural foods — a rich source of healthy fats and protein. They are also typically a low glycemic food.
Take a moment and think about how nuts are actually eaten in a truly natural environment. Nuts are picked off the tree, then you need to crack open the shell. So you end up with just one nut in your mouth at a time. You have a minute to chew before the next nut goes in.
If you thoroughly chew your nuts, it makes digestion and absorption of the fats and protein much more efficient. When you take your time and chew each nut individually, you make it much easier on your digestive system and will get more nutrition out of each nut eaten.

This is a lot better than shoving a whole handful of nuts into your mouth at once, taking a few bites and swallowing a mass of nut chunks. So try it for fun, eat one nut at a time and chew until you get the consistiency of nut butter, like almond or peanut butter. Your digestive system will thank you.
From an alkaline standpoint, almonds are the best which doesn't mean you should avoid other nuts. Just keep the diet balanced with up to 80 percent alklaline foods overall. Nuts are most nutritious eaten raw.

Almonds, in particular, and fruit make a good alkaline breakfast. For those who are into proper food combining, eat the fruit first and give it a few minutes before eating the nuts (Except for melons ... remember, eat those alone!)
Why not start your day out with a good dose of minerals healthy fats and protein with some of my favorite nuts and seeds:
Almonds, most alkaline
Cashews, walnuts (more acidic, in moderation) pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, brazil nuts
For breakfast, a non processed whole grain cereal such as quinoa, kamut, spelt with a non dairy milk substitute (rice, almond, hemp) will send you off full of energy to swing from any vine!
