DWI Checkpoint In Monmouth Beach Friday, Aug. 17

The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 through 2 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 on Ocean Ave. in Monmouth Beach.

MONMOUTH BEACH, NJ — Heads up, Monmouth County: The Monmouth County DWI task force will conduct a DWI checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.

The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 through 2 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 on Ocean Ave.

Task force members and Monmouth Beach police officers will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes into the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center parking lot to determine driver’s sobriety, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, task force coordinator.
